Rebecca Ward, BA
Rebecca Ward (they/she) is a Toronto-based actor, dancer, and teacher. Originally from Treaty 1 Territory in Winnipeg, Rebecca grew up dancing in the studio, at school, and anywhere she could. After graduating from high school, Rebecca moved to Toronto to attend Sheridan College, where she studied musical theatre in the Honours Bachelor of Music Theatre Performance Program. She graduated in 2024 with a BA in musical theatre and has since had the opportunity to dance on stage and screen! You can find Rebecca movin’ and groovin’ on Netflix and Disney+, as well as in theatres in and around the city.
Rebecca is a firm believer that anyone and everyone can (and should) dance, and believes that performing art spaces foster some of the most meaningful connections. From teaching children of all ages in dance and musical theatre, Rebecca has seen firsthand how influential art can be as a teaching and community-building tool. Being part of Dance Ed and getting to expand students’ arts education while sharing her love of dance with them brings her so much joy!
When she’s not performing or teaching, Rebecca works as an Educational Assistant for the TDSB, tends to her many houseplants, embroiders, and plays way too much Stardew Valley!
